厚生労働省は、人から人へ感染する新型インフルエンザが国内で流行した際に備え、国民に2週間分の食料を確保することなどを求める方針だ。外出を極力控えることを促し、感染者との接触で患者が増える事態を防ぐ。新型発生時の行政や個人の役割を定めるガイドラインに盛り込み来年1月にもまとめる予定だ。
新型が国内に広まっても自宅で過ごすなどの自衛策を講じれば大流行を防げる可能性がある。厚労省は外出を控えることの重要性を強調。食料などを事前に確保することや、持病がある人には一定量の薬を手元に置いておくことを促す。
